Central Virginia and the Greater Lynchburg Area is a very diversified area, from Historical downtown Lynchburg, to the Blue Ridge Mountains, to Smith Mountain Lake, to the "City of Churches," to the Five Local Colleges, to High Technology Companies.
Virginia is a Southern State. Enjoy the beauty of Virginia during each of the four seasons. Virginia does get snow, but mostly in the mountains and just enough to be enjoyed.
For Winter Sports you'll find Snow Skiing at near by Winter Green Ski Resort, The Homestead Resort Hotel in Hot Springs, VA. and at Snow Shoe Mountain in West Virginia.
We also have Ice Skating at the new LaHaye Ice Rink at Liberty University in Lynchburg.
For Summer Sports you will find hiking and biking in the Blue Ridge Mountains. An easy stroll around the Lake at Sharp Top Mountain at the Peaks of Otter. Camping, RVing, Cookouts and Picnicing on the Blue Ridge Parkway or at Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Or a quiet ride on the Virginia Dare Paddle Boat on Smith Mountain Lake.
Lynchburg parks include Blackwater Creek, Peaks View Park and Miller Park.
Southern Hospitality is alive and well in Central Virginia.
